Tom Bergin is a former oil broker turned journalist. For seven years Tom led Reuters’ coverage of the oil and gas industry in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and has reported from over a dozen countries including Iran, Iraq, Russia and the United States.
In 2013, Tom was named “Business Journalist of the Year” at the British Press Awards and won a Society of American Business Editors and Writers award for his reporting on how big companies including Starbucks avoid tax. He has also been shortlisted for a raft of other awards including the Paul Foot Award for investigative journalism, The George Orwell Prize, the European Press Prize and New York’s Deadline Club awards. He is a weekly commentator on the CNBC business channels and contributes to other television and radio outlets, while his work has also been published in the International Herald Tribune, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and newspapers across Asia and the Middle East.Click here to read more...
